"If chaos and disorder are
mentally and emotionally
distressing, unrelieved monotony
is probably worse.

Any human being forced to work
in an office or home surrounded
by nothing but ivory or buff will
hazard his good disposition and
sanity even more.  A circus is less
likely to make a person neurotic
than the tan waiting room of a
railroad depot!"

Beyond Color Matching

As important as it is to match colors to each other, and coordinate
them;  it as important to fit color to your personality.  When the
color is not suitable to your nature it will end up making you
uncomfortable.  A creative outgoing person surrounded by color
that does not match your sensibility will make you feel confined or
bored.  Conversely, one who is introverted should consider colors
that are more conservative.

Warm and bright tones are better suited to the extrovert.  These
would include red and orange hues.  Of course it is not
recommended to choose either of these colors in full power.  They
can be made beautiful for the interior by tinting (adding white).
Pink and Salmon and variations of such are worth consideration
for the creative and outgoing.  Both are good for appetite and
reflection upon the skin will result in a healthy looking tone.

For those who are a bit more stoic.  Darker and cooler hues are
more suitable.  Blue and green will lend a tranquil tone in the
room that will closely mirror your personality.  And make you feel
more comfortable.  Blue has low saturation and can be
appropriate in almost any tone.  Bluish green would also be a
color worth considering and because the color is complementary
to complexion it will provide a complimentary background.

Variety should be foremost in color selection as stimulation can
be achieved only through diversity.

Finding the colors you like in the hues that fit your personality will
assure your satisfaction with your home's interior for a long time
to come.
