Bergen County House Painting
Bergen County is one of the oldest counties in the country and
the architecture of the homes reflects that.  The first homes
were built here in the 1600's and by 1790 the population in
Bergen was already over 12,000. A few of these residences
still stand today.

In the Northern part of the county a lot of communities were
developed, one house at a time, during the 18th and 19th
centuries, and the homes retain the charm from the time they
were first put up.  This charm can be retained when you
decide to paint the exterior.  The colors you choose and the
decorations that adorn the windows and doors can help.

In my house in Closter, using the original shutters from the
time period when the house was built just felt right.  There
maybe some little things that can be with your home... to add
just the right feel for you.

Many more of the homes in Bergen County were erected
following the construction of the George Washington Bridge.
And again after World War II.  These homes can be made to
look distinctive with  tones and shades in an effort to get a
clean and modern look.

Taking a moment or two to consider the period of your home
before you paint or work on the exterior can make you feel a bit
more satisfied when the work is done and you pull into your
driveway each night and pridefully admire your home.
Consider the style of your home and
it's period for a moment or two
before painting the house  You'll be
happy you did.
